Enrollment Instructions (Grades K-8)

    Step 1: Check Attendance Boundaries

LCMSD accepts students in Kindergarten through 8th grade within the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District boundaries. Before enrolling, check your home address against the LCMSD Boundary Street Listing to ensure your address is within the district boundaries. You can also check your property tax statement. If your address does not appear on this list, you are not in the LCMSD boundaries. Please note that district boundaries do not always coincide with municipal boundaries. Contact Edith Valencia, evalencia@lcmschools.org (415) 927-6960 ext. 4 if you have any questions.

Note: LCMSD is not offering Transitional Kindergarten (TK) during the 2025-2026 school year. Click here for more information.

    Step 2: Prepare Documents

The online enrollment process requires you to upload various documents and forms. We recommend preparing these documents and forms before beginning the process.

Step 3: Enroll Your Child Online

Aeries is the program LCMSD uses to store student information and for online enrollment.

    • Go to larkspurcortemadera.aeries.net/enrollment to begin the process.
    • From the dropdown, choose 2025-2026 Current Year to enroll a child in this school year.
    • Click Enroll a New Student.
    • If you have not previously enrolled a child through Aeries Online Enrollment, you will need to create a user account. An account verification email will be sent to your email indicating you can login and continue with the enrollment process. Please note, it may take a while to receive the verification email from Aeries if there is high activity.
    • You will need to do this for each student you are enrolling. The Login button is only used to review prior enrollment information.
    • Please note that while the Aeries Online Enrollment process will refer to "School Assignment", parents can only request elementary school placement. The district office does the final assignment to an elementary school and is based on multiple criteria. Selecting a school for enrollment does not guarantee placement in that school. You will be informed of your child’s school placement after the enrollment process is complete and the District reviews all documents. For more information about the district criteria and communication timeline for school assignments, see "School Placement" below.

Note: LCMSD is not offering Transitional Kindergarten (TK) during the 2025-2026 school year.

School Placement

2025-26 School Placement

Parents have the opportunity to state a preference for a particular school during the online enrollment process. Final placement is determined based on the following District prioritized criteria:

  1. Defined neighborhood parameters followed by defined attendance areas. (See Key Codes on List of Streets Within District Boundaries)
  2. Siblings of currently enrolled students will be enrolled in the same school if they choose. The currently enrolled sibling must be in attendance at the school when the new enrollee enters the school.
  3. Facility capacity and class size.

Should the school of choice not be available at the time of placement, students will be placed on a wait-list. Wait-listed students will be placed via lottery following the above District prioritized criteria.

Notification of elementary student placement will be according to the registration window and round notification timelines (see details below). Wait-list requests will be reviewed at each round of notification, and placements will be made accordingly. Notification will only be provided when space is available. If you are not notified, you will remain on the waitlist*.
