LCMSD Update - 6.7.21

logo

Dear LCMSD Community,

Happy last week of school! We are greatly anticipating the 5th grade promotions, 8th grade graduation, and all of the fun activities associated with the end of a school year. Below are updates for today:

School Guidance to be Updated Shortly

Marin County Public Health (MCPH) and the California Department of Public Health are expected to release school guidance for the 2021-22 school year shortly. MCPH has scheduled a community meeting on June 16th at 1:00 to discuss the 2021-22 school year, vaccinations, and what the community should expect post-June 15th (the end of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy). Here is the Zoom link. The recording will be posted here shortly after the meeting.

Crisis Text Line

To help address a growing mental health need, the County of Marin is now offering our youth another means of support through a co-branded text line - Text MARIN to 741741. The Crisis Text Line offers free, 24/7, confidential crisis counseling via text and is a great place to turn when experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use, suicidal ideation, or anything in between. This service is available to any age.

Coffee with Brett Recording/Slides

This coffee chat on June 4, 2021 provided an opportunity to discuss LCMSD COVID response plans for 2021-22 and answer any questions parents had, COVID related or not.
