COVID-19 vaccine will be a required school immunization for students...

Larkspur-Corte Madera School District

Dear LCMSD Community,

Today another COVID-19 mitigation strategy was announced by the Governor. Once full approval is granted by the FDA, the COVID-19 vaccine will be a required school immunization for students. The requirement will go into effect in the term following full approval, either January 1 or July 1. With the information available today, it appears that July 1, 2022 will be the first term the vaccine will be required for students 12+. However, as we are all aware, the COVID-19 landscape continues to change and we should also be prepared for a January 1, 2022 start date.

Once students are required to have the COVID-19 vaccine so will all school staff. Currently staff must be fully vaccinated or test on a weekly basis. For current LCMSD vaccination data, click here

If you or your 12+ child have not yet been vaccinated and would like to learn more, please visit the Marin County Public Health vaccination website. LCMSD will continue to provide our learning community with relevant updates. For the full story, click here
