Social Studies Instructional Materials

Hello LCMSD Community,

The Larkspur-Corte Madera School District invites parents and community members to preview and provide feedback on the K-5 and 6-8 social studies instructional materials under consideration for District adoption. The District’s review process, which included teachers piloting the proposed materials, began in September and is scheduled to be completed at the June 16 Board meeting.

The curriculum pilot team is recommending McGraw Hill Impact Social Studies (grades K-2) and Discovery Education Social Studies (grades 6-8) for adoption.

Samples of instructional materials from these publishers will be available for public review in the Larkspur-Corte Madera District Office, 230 Doherty Drive, Larkspur, June 3-16, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Feedback forms will be provided, and that feedback will be included in the adoption process.
