Dear LCMSD Community,

While it feels like pandemic restrictions are a thing of the past, Covid is still circulating amongst our community. School safety is our top priority, which includes the health of students and staff. Should a student, staff member, or household member test positive, please send an email to covidreporting@lcmschools.org If you need a Covid test, please contact the school office. Additionally, as we receive large batches of tests, we will send them home with students.

When testing positive, a student or staff member may return to school on Day 6 so long as they have been fever-free for 24 hours and seeing an improvement in symptoms. A negative test is not required to return to school. Marin County Public Health recommends masking for Days 6-10 for students and CalOSHA requires masking for Days 6-10 for staff.

Live streaming has been discontinued for the 2023-24 school year; however, if your child is feeling well enough to complete school work they can keep up on assignments that are posted on Google Classroom and/or Empower (Hall).

As is the case with athletics, travel, activities, public spaces, and school, there is a daily risk of being exposed to Covid. Therefore, please know that we will not be sending classroom notifications each time there is a Covid positive. Should there be an outbreak, we will send a specific communication to those affected. Please monitor for symptoms and keep your child home when feeling ill.

Should you have further questions, we recommend first reviewing the LCMSD Covid Plan Website which contains updated information and resources for families.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our schools safe.
