PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Cove Family,

International Exchange Program with Williams School in Mexico: This year, Cove is excited to be participating in an international teaching exchange program. We have 4 teachers from Colegio Williams de Cuernavaca in Cuernavaca, Mexico coming November 14-21 to visit and teach an immersive project based unit for a week to our 2nd and 4th grade classes. Their project culminates in a presentation to parents on November 21. In exchange, 4 teachers from The Cove School go to Mexico and do the same at Colegio Williams de Cuernavaca in Mexico in the spring. Mr. Eldredge (Cove 2nd grade teacher) has worked with this program for years (they have partnered with Marin Primary in the past) and knows the program coordinators.

We are in search of hosts for these teachers. Do you have a spare room? Could you host these guest teachers? Ideally, we'd like to host the teachers in pairs in Cove homes. This would give them the experience of living with a host family and experiencing a bit of American culture. Please email myself, Michelle Walker (mwalker@lcmschools.org) and Peter Eldredge (peldredge@lcmschools.org) if you can host or have potential leads for housing for these teachers November 14 - 21. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Michelle Walker, Principal
