Principal Message

Giving Day is November 16th

As the season of giving thanks is upon us, it is important that we take a moment to recognize all that we have to be grateful for.  At LCMSD, we are grateful every day for our incredible community of students, teachers, staff and parents!

During the SPARK Giving Day Participation Challenge, we encourage everyone in our community to show their appreciation for all our schools have to offer with a charitable gift to SPARK. Every donation to SPARK makes an impact just as every student benefits daily from new learning opportunities in music, art, science, technology, wellness and more. Thank you to the families and business partners who have already shown their commitment to our schools with a financial donation this year.

SPARK relies on parent support to help raise $1.5M this year.  Please join our efforts with your gift to SPARK so our students can continue to receive an excellent and engaging educational experience, not just today, but in the future as well.

Thank you for all you do to support our schools and the LCMSD community.

Board Update

On November 17 the Board will meet and celebrate Cove’s work towards the Guiding Principles. Additionally, they will vote on an updated dress code policy, as well as resolutions to support fiscal needs (special education, facilities maintenance, retirement liabilities). The Board will be presented with a COVID-19 update, draft of the Educator Effectiveness Block Grant, and an MCOE Efficiency and Effectiveness update. The Board Meeting will be held in person at 6:00 pm in the Hall Library; no RSVP required. The meeting will also be live streamed via Zoom (link; passcode - lcmsd). Please know, public comments will only be taken by in person attendees; public comments via Zoom will not be available. We hope to see you there!

Lost and Found Program: Our lost and found program is back! Starting, Friday, November 19, at the end of the school day, at 2:30, a parent volunteer will roll the lost and found rack outside of the gate near the playground and gym and roll it back inside of the gate at 3:15. Please use this link to sign up to volunteer.  Other volunteers will be assisting the staff with collecting item and organizing them. If that is something you would be interest in, please contact Assistant Principal, Tracy Anderson. Thank you!
