Dear Parents,

This coming Wednesday is our school-wide Readathon! We are excited for a terrific line-up of authors and guest speakers, as well as reading and reading-related activities to promote a lifelong love of learning. As you know, Readathon is our largest PTO fundraiser–every donation funds vital programs to enrich your child’s learning experience at Neil Cummins. Our goal is that every student participates, so please support your child in their reading and fundraising efforts by sharing their personalized link with friends and family.

Reminder from the District Nurse

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We are committed to providing you with the most up-to-date information, especially when it comes to safety. Throughout Covid, LCMSD has led through the strong partnership between Marin schools and Marin County Public Health. A very important change regarding COVID protocols was just released: students and staff are no longer required to isolate for five days when testing positive for COVID-19 if they meet the conditions described below (which can also be found on our COVID website).

If you or a household member tests positive for COVID, please inform us immediately using this email:

The LCMSD procedure for re-entry after testing positive for COVID is:

For students: Stay home (isolate) if you have COVID-19 symptoms, until you have not had a fever for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication AND other COVID-19 symptoms are mild and improving.

It is strongly recommended that students wear a mask on days 1-10 when indoors at school. You may remove your mask sooner than 10 days if you have two sequential negative tests at least one day apart. Day 0 is symptom onset date or positive test date.

New Student Registration for 2024-25 will opened on Monday, January 15. Please visit Enrollment Process for detailed information.
