PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

~Thornton Wilder

This time of year has a pace of its own. Before we know it, we will be into January, wondering where the fall went. During this hectic time, it is important to slow down and give thanks. We all get so busy in our day to day lives that it’s easy to forget to take a moment and express our thanks to those who touch our lives every day.

As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to publicly thank our staff and teachers for the dedicated work they do with their students every day. Their contributions in a variety of positions are what keep our school going each day. I am so incredibly grateful for this amazing body of people that I get to work with! During this season of thanks, I have asked our students and staff to share what they are grateful for. Please take a moment to share with your children and our staff what you are grateful for. We are truly blessed to have such dedicated educators and staff members who care deeply about our school. It is an honor to work with this community.

With my deepest gratitude,

Michelle Walker

The Cove School Principal

Cove Celebrates the Spirit of Giving! A spirit of giving is in the air! The Cove School Holiday Store returns on Friday, December 15th. Prepare to be delighted by the gifts chosen by your children from the new and gently-used “inventory” donated by the Cove community as we transform the Gallery into a “Holiday Store.” Students love shopping for important people in their lives at this special annual event. This opportunity instills a spirit of giving in our children. Students bring in $2 and get to shop for 2 gifts. Our awesome volunteers (we need YOU!) wrap the gifts and the students bring them home to you!

We need your help to make this happen!

  • DONATE by Thursday December 14th - Bring items to the Cove Gallery beginning Monday November 27th. Treasures in high demand include: gift bags of all sizes (no wrapping paper, please!), costume jewelry and women’s accessories, hobby supplies, holiday-themed decor, housewares, cookbooks, DVDs, and anything for men! We cannot take used clothing without tags, dirty or broken items, toys, or stuffed animals.

  • VOLUNTEER for store set-up on Thursday 12/14 and for shopping assistance and gift wrapping on Friday, December 15th. Please sign up here

  • SEND MONEY Send $2.00 with your child on Friday, December 15th. (Any proceeds support PTO programs at The Cove School!) Students and families may continue to shop the Holiday Store for more gifts after school in the Gallery from 3pm to 4pm!

The Cove School Variety Show It's that time of year again! Dust off your dancing shoes, warm up your voices, start working on your juggling routine because it is VARIETY SHOW TIME! Please join us (Kristy and Mike Dell, your new fearless variety show leaders) for an informative meeting on Zoom Monday, December 4th 7:00-7:30pm. We hope to answer any and all questions you may have!
