Congratulations to our 5th Grade 2023-2024 Cove Yearbook Cover Contest Winner - Dylan Christensen! With 21 incredibly creative cover entries, the decision was far from easy for our students during the on-campus November election. We thank all of our 5th grade artists and can't wait to honor your submissions in this year's Cove School yearbook, including Dylan Christensen's winning cover! "Dream Big, Cove Coyotes, DREAM BIG!" GUEST AUTHOR

Our guest author Susan B Katz will be joining us on Friday, January 26th. 

Below is the schedule of her visit:

  • 8:20- 9:05a | Grades K-2: Mindfulness

  • 9:30-10:15a | Grades 3-5: RBG Frida Kahlo, including how to research and write an important person report

  • 10:20-10:50a | Book Signing in Gallery during snack recess


Click here for more information on the author and the books she'll discuss on her visit. If you would like to purchase and bring your book in on Friday, there will be an opportunity for Susan to sign books from 10:20-10:50am. 


The PTO has purchased several copies of her books and they are available in the library, so every child has the opportunity to explore her work. They will not be available to check out next week - only viewed in the library.

  • Join our Solicitation Team as a volunteer from mid-January through February. You choose the number of accounts and we provide you with everything you need to contact potential donors. DISTRICT NEWS

Board Updates

The Board met on January 17, 2024 and celebrated the upcoming Read-a-Thon, Neil Cummins PTO, and afterschool program scholarships provided by Rotary, CM Women’s Club, and the CM Community Foundation. The Board approved the School Accountability Report Cards and the budget development calendar. Trustees determined their committee assignments for 2024. Additionally, Trustees were presented with an update from Curriculum Council regarding assessments and curriculum adoptions.
