What Voters Approved

On June 2, 2026, voters in the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District approved Measure D, a $44 million general obligation bond, with 68.47 percent of the vote. Measure D required 55 percent approval under Proposition 39. The ballot question read:

"To maintain safe, modern elementary and middle schools without increasing current tax rates, by upgrading emergency, safety and security systems; repairing deteriorating roofs, HVAC, plumbing/electrical; updating science, technology, engineering, art, music, and math classrooms/labs; and improving water and drainage systems; shall Larkspur-Corte Madera School District's measure be adopted, authorizing $44,000,000 in bonds at legal rates, levying approximately $24/$100,000 assessed value ($3,400,000 annually), while bonds are outstanding, with independent audits, oversight, and all funds spent locally?"

The full text of the measure, including the Bond Project List, the certified election results, and the Certificate of Election are posted below. (Note: the County's Impartial Analysis in the voter guide was mistakenly titled a parcel tax measure. The County issued a correction on April 21, 2026. Measure D is a general obligation bond measure.)

Bond Priorities

Measure D pays for repairs, replacements, and upgrades at Neil Cummins Elementary, Hall Middle School, and The Cove School. Bond funds cannot be used for teacher or administrator salaries or other operating expenses.

Fencing and campus safety come first, at all three schools. The first phase also includes roofing, HVAC updates, flooring and paving, lighting, clocks and bells, cameras and access control, and new athletic field turf at Hall Middle School. The District's goal is to complete the fencing and the Hall turf in summer 2027. Project details, budgets, and timelines will be posted as each project is approved by the Board of Trustees.
