    Jill Sellers - 
    President, Term Ends 2020

    Jill and her husband Scott have been Larkspur residents for 15 years.  They have three daughters in grades 5, 6, and 10.  Jill has a long standing interest in public education and studied American Civilization with a concentration on the American education system at Brown University where she her earned her A.B. degree.  She also holds a master’s degree from the University of Michigan School of Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration. She has held diverse professional positions in the past in higher education including admissions as well as development. Jill has served in many roles at our schools including leadership positions on the PTA/PTO at Hall and Neil Cummins as well as Site Council at Neil Cummins. She volunteers in the classroom, has coached Odyssey of the Mind at Hall and soccer in the community. Jill enjoys spending time with her family, being part of the Larkspur-Corte Madera community, hiking and reading. Originally from Fairfax County, Virginia, Jill is also the product of great public schools herself.

  • Katherine Chan Katherine Chan - Vice President, Term ends 2022

    Katherine and her husband, Winston, live in Corte Madera and have three children attending Neil Cummins Elementary School. She grew up in the Bay Area and is a proud product of K-12 public schools. Katherine earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University (B.A. in History) and a masters from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. Prior to having children, she worked in New York as an Emmy Award-winning Producer for NBC News, where she specialized in long-form and investigative stories. She currently works as a freelance writer and producer. Katherine has volunteered with the PTO as a room parent and hot lunch volunteer, and with SPARK on its Biz and Auction committees and as a classroom representative. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking with her giant dog, and watching bad TV.

  • Monica Canas Photo Monica Cañas - ClerkTerm Ends 2022 

    Monica lives in Corte Madera with her three daughters, who attend The Cove School and Hall Middle School. A Bay Area native, Monica was born in San Francisco and raised in San Rafael, where she attended Marin County public schools. Monica earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Dominican University of California. She currently does freelance work in project management. Since 2010, Monica has been active in LCMSD volunteering in various roles, including campus events, math & reading groups in the classrooms, and serving on the Hall Middle School Parent Education Committee. In her free time, Monica enjoys outdoor activities, attending arts & cultural events, salsa dancing, and trying new recipes.

    Sarah Mueller, Term Ends 2020 
    Sarah and her husband, Dirk, moved to Larkspur in 2002. They have two children attending Neil Cummins Elementary School and one child at Hall Middle School. Sarah is originally from Massachusetts, where her parents still live in the house in which she grew up. She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University (A.B. in government) and her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. She is currently assistant regional counsel at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s regional office in San Francisco. Sarah has volunteered in various capacities in the District, including as room parent, SPARK classroom representative, hot lunch volunteer, and parent representative on the Neil Cummins Site Council and the District’s Facilities Expansion Committee.

    Sasha Morozoff - Trustee, Term Ends 2020 

    Sasha and his wife Lisa live in Corte Madera with their two children, both of whom attend Neil Cummins Elementary.  Sasha was born and raised in Kobe, Japan, but spent his childhood summers in Marin County.  He is a graduate of Duke University and prior to becoming a stay-at-home dad, had a twenty-year career in business.  In addition to his recent initiation into the secret society of Hawk mascots, Sasha enjoys volunteering in both school and after-school activities in our community.
